From Stuck to Strong: My 70-Pound Weight Loss Journey

If you would’ve met me a few years ago, you probably would’ve seen a woman who looked strong on the outside.

What most people didn’t see was how much I was struggling on the inside.

At 240 pounds, just weeks away from my 40th birthday, I found myself standing alone on my bathroom scale—staring at a number I couldn’t ignore anymore. My knees ached just climbing one flight of stairs. I was constantly tired.

But it wasn’t just the physical discomfort that broke me open—it was everything I was missing out on.

I stopped doing the things I loved.
I stopped swimming at the pool with my friends and family.
I stopped shopping with my girlfriends because the dressing rooms made me feel defeated.
I stopped playing outside with my son because I couldn’t keep up without feeling winded.
I even started hiding from photos—hiding from my own life.

It hit me hard:
I was living life from the sidelines. And I deserved better.
I deserved to live my life, not shrink from it.

That birthday became my turning point.
Not because I hated my body.
But because I loved the life I still wanted to live—and I refused to miss another moment.

The Girl on the Left vs. The Girl on the Right

I found an old “before” photo not long ago.
It stopped me in my tracks—not because of how I looked, but because I barely recognized the girl in the photo.

She was smiling, but she was hurting.
She seemed strong, but inside she was battling insecurity, fear, and exhaustion every single day.
She was trying to be everything for everyone—and putting herself last.

Today, the woman I see in the mirror is different.
Not just because she’s 70 pounds lighter.
But because she’s confident on the inside and the outside.
She’s strong. She’s free. She’s living.

And it all started with a decision:
To stop waiting. To stop hiding. To start fighting for herself again.

What Actually Changed

This wasn’t about chasing a “perfect body” or doing something extreme.
It was about small, consistent changes—over and over again.

I learned how to fuel my body properly, not starve it.
I focused on building strength instead of doing endless cardio.
I healed my relationship with food, movement, and my body.
I worked with my body—not against it—by supporting my metabolism, hormones, and gut health.
Later, after losing the weight, I also made the decision to have a mommy makeover once I was within 10 pounds of my goal—a choice I made proudly, for me.

Most importantly, I realized that real transformation isn’t just physical.
It’s mental. Emotional. Spiritual.

Why I Do What I Do Now

Today, I coach women over 40 to create sustainable fat loss, confidence, and lasting health without extremes—because I know exactly how it feels to be stuck.

I also share my favorite wellness and skincare products because health isn’t just about weight—it’s about feeling vibrant, confident, and radiant in every season of life.
